Katrina Kaif the desi Cameron Diaz in Knight And Day remake

Hrithik Roshan & Katrina Kaif

To reprise the role of Tom Cruise in the Hindi remake of Knight And Day, we don’t think anyone could be more befitting than Hrithik Roshan. He has the look, the body and the charm to play a spy on the run. With that taken care of, hunt for a perfect Cameron Diaz replacement was on, and that’s when director of the remake Siddharth Anand decided to cast Katrina Kaif in it.

The female lead needs to be very agile and perfect too as she will be on the run as well. Katrina, who has done some perfect stunts in Ek Tha Tiger, surely fits the bill. The film will start rolling in the early part of next year and will be produced by Fox Star India. Confirming Kat’s inclusion in the film, Fox Star India’s CEO Vijay Singh said that Hrithik and Katrina’s love angle was appreciated by masses in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Apart from that, both the actors are among the favourites of the young generation. Singh also added that it will be filmed in India and in some parts of Middle East and Europe.

Salman Khan Has Huge Line Up Over Next Two Years

Dabangg is a mega hit and Salman Khan has a huge line up of potential commercial blockbusters over the next 24 months. The growth of business in the North and CPCI Rajasthan over the last 12 months has meant the commercial potboiler has chances of showing huge numbers.

Dabangg

A few years back, the growth was very much urban orientated and even when some films did not do well outside urban centres, the final numbers were camouflaged by high grossing multiplexes but its a total different story today.

Dabangg has shown the way and Tees Maar Khan is likely to follow later this year. Today due to the growth outside urban centres the need is pure commercial entertainers to put up the big totals and Salman Khan next five are in this bracket. Next year Salman Khan will feature in Ready and then Bodygaurd which is likely to be the hottest film of 2011. Then his next three releases are Kick, No Entry Mein Entry and Partner 2 again huge commercial potboilers. The next few years may see Salman giving the industry some huge grossers.
